Walking in, I was bummed to discover there was no seating. We were looking for a place to relax, so we decided to go elsewhere. The next day we agreed to try it out as we were looking to get food to take home. I was very impressed! The rice & beans were on point. And the pique…. as authentic as it could be🔥 Purchased a bottle to take back home. Great food! They do have another location that offers inside seating. Much props on the system you created for take-out. Great concept.

This was my first time at this little Puerto Rican spot, and the food was outstanding. Great flavor, and I will definitely go back next time I’m in town. The staff was also fantastic—friendly people. I really loved it.

Love the coconut soup, plantains, and my partner gets their roasted chicken! Ingredients are extremely fresh, food is consistently prepared, service is friendly (and fast). One piece of feedback: Today I ordered lentils online, but received some type of meat thing. I checked my order to see if I made a mistake, and the online menu simply says they are now out of lentil soup. This made me sad because I don’t eat meat. Next time, when I pick up, please ask what else I can order instead of just giving me something that I have to give away to a colleague. I’m not looking forward to being hungry for the rest of today.

Excellent food all around. This was my second visit and this time I got the pork ribs. It’s going to be a regular thing probably now - they were the best of this style I think I’ve ever had. Light rub, excellent rendering.

This place has incredible food and a pretty bare dine in experience. Despite being not busy, the new-seeming person taking our order still messed it up. They fixed it quickly. We got the Pollo al horno and the coconut stew with shrimp. Garlic plantains and no sweet plantains (they were out) rounded out our meal. The specialty homemade drinks were A+ Honestly if you're within thirty minutes, just come here and eat.

Have been told to try this Sol Food for the past 3 yrs and today was the day! Visited the Mill Valley location and ordered the Bistec sandwich and I am in love! This showstopper is grilled with onions, avocado & tender beef. Absolutely delicious!! I can't wait to go back and try the cubano.

I just ordered my food to go. I did not sit inside. I started eating before remembering to take a photo 🫢. I had the bistec (couldn't finish the full sandwich, too big to eat in one sitting), a coconut drink, and coconut flan (didn't like it, which i had gotten the regular flan but was curious to try the coconut flan. The staff was super friendly. The atmosphere was light and friendly and everyone was having a good time enjoying their food. Parking will be a challenge. I parked a couple of blocks over but I didn't mind the walk since I was along the water so I got to sit in my car and eat overlooking the water. The store is next to a plant shop. So rather than posting photos of half eaten food, I took a video of the running river I ate my lunch by, and a photo of a flower for you to enjoy in place of the food I enjoyed.

I think I just had one of the best sandwiches in my life from here. We came on a Saturday morning so we got to enjoy our takeout food with no crowd. There’s limited seating here so I can see how it can get busy and you may need to wait or eat somewhere else. We got the bisteak sandwich, pollo al horno with savory garlicky plantain, and mofongo. Everything was absolutely delicious and we were full with leftovers. We’ll most definitely come back here or their restaurant location to try more stuff on their menu.
